Company Leadership

Randal Clark - CEO

Randal Clark is the CEO of Axia Technologies and its subsidiary AxiaMed. Axia Technologies was founded to provide payment programs and services to merchants in a professional and consultative manner- something rare in the payments industry. Randal’s primary responsibility is chief strategist and architect and Randal created and developed Axia’s unique business model (including the compensation program, selling strategy, complete branding as well as the overall product and program). Almost $5 billion in annual sales and over 7,000 customers later, Axia is now one of the industries most respected companies and the largest in California’s Central Coast.

Randal has developed and started a number of organizations across different industries– charitable, non-profits, technology, traditional for-­profit, and education. With a large percentage of clients in the Healthcare vertical, Randal saw a huge need for a unique Healthcare driven payments company which led to the creation of AxiaMed.

Randal earned his BS in Marketing and Management from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. Randal resides in Santa Barbara, California and has been married to his lovely wife Amy and they have two children, Gabriel and Ava.

Kevin Kidd - President

Kevin’s primary responsibilities as President include AxiaMed’s overall sales and product strategies and implementation, as well as general operations. Kevin is also President of Axia Payments, a financial technology company providing partners and businesses across the United States and Canada the latest in payment technology and business efficiency solutions.

Prior to AxiaMed, Kevin practiced healthcare and financial technology law for 11 years as an equity partner with the national law firm Waller Lansden in Nashville, Tennessee. There, Kevin practiced in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and financial transactions for various private and public companies in the financial technology, electronic payment and transaction processing industries as well as the healthcare service industry. Kevin’s healthcare clients included payment clearinghouses and healthcare financial technology providers, hospital systems (including ACOs), surgery center companies, radiology clinics, corporate physician practice management companies, dental practice management companies, hospice, home health and private duty providers, as well as private equity and financing companies investing in the healthcare industry. Over the years of his legal practice, Kevin has been involved in over 75 business transactions with an aggregate deal value well in excess of $10B.

Kevin is a frequent speaker at financial technology, financial institution, healthcare and other industry conferences, having recently spoken at the HITECH Conference, the Hospitality Financial & Technology Association (HFTP) Annual Meeting, the ATMIA Annual Meeting, the Southeastern Banking Seminar and the Alabama Banking Seminar.

Kevin graduated Order of the Coif with a JD from the University of Kentucky College of Law and also received his BS in Finance and BSBE in Business Management from the Gatton Business School at the University of Kentucky. He is a member of HFMA, MGMA, the Nashville Healthcare Council, as well as on the US Board of the ATMIA, member of the ETA government relations committee and the Nashville, Tennessee and California Bar Associations.

Outside of his duties at AxiaMed, Kevin is a father of six homeschooled children, and has been actively involved with various non-profits, including serving on the Board of Residential Hospice Foundation, the Nashville United Way and the Lexington, KY Downtown YMCA.

Don Sellazzo - VP Business Development

Don Sellazzo has over 25 years experience and leadership in the Software and Payments Industry. His primary responsibility is focused on the development and management of Strategic ISV Partnerships and the delivery of Innovative Emerging Payment Processing Solutions for Vision, ACO’s, Health Systems, Hospitals, Ambulatory Care Centers, Physician Practices, Long-Term Care Facilities and other vertical business industries.

Prior to joining Axia, Don was a Director of Partner Business Development at Global Payments where he was instrumental in building a new portfolio of ISV Partners, revenue and EBITDA growth. He also held a post at a Practice Management Software start up that built and provided an office management and EMR Solution for Pediatricians, Cardiologists and Podiatrists. He has led the design and go to market strategy for innovative software Solutions at major payment terminal provider Ingenico.

His experience brings AxiaMed’s clients and partners a blend of hardware/software technical acumen, knowledge of emerging solutions and deep understanding of the Payments eco-system.

Don earned his BS in Marketing from New Hampshire College (now Southern New Hampshire University). Don resides in Williamsburg, VA and is married to his wife Pam and has 4 children.

Richard Davis - VP of Business Development and Partner Management
