Introducing Scan&Pay by AxiaMed – a mobile-based patient payment solution that’s safe, secure, and incredibly simple to use. Quick Response codes – more commonly known as QR codes – are now a familiar and integral part of our everyday lives. Easily scanned in just moments by any native or 3rd party app, QR codes are already well established in the healthcare space for patient identity management, prescriptions, medical records, lab results, appointment scheduling, and anywhere patients need resources or more information. Now, with AxiaMed’s Scan&Pay, healthcare providers can add QR codes to invoices or online payment portals to enable patients to quickly and easily pay their medical bills. In the era of social distancing due to COVID-19, Scan&Pay is one of a range of contactless solutions from AxiaMed that help healthcare providers provide safer patient payment options for patients and staff.
It really couldn’t be any easier! Simply generate and insert a unique, one-time-use QR code into a patient’s bill or statement. Upon scanning the code using any free, third party app, the patient will be directed to a hosted payment page that connects securely to AxiaMed’s PCI-compliant gateway. After reviewing their balance and payment options, the patient can then choose to pay in full or enter a different amount. After completing prompts for the required credit card payment fields and submitting the payment, the patient is informed that their payment has been processed and a receipt is generated and sent via email.
